Terms of Service
The agreement between you and the studio when you use this site or order work.
These terms govern your use of theeclecticelectric.com and any work you order through it. The site is operated by Eclectic Electric LLC, a Florida limited liability company.
By using the site, submitting a work order, or placing an order, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

1. Who we are
Eclectic Electric LLC, 2512 NE 1st Blvd, Gainesville, FL 32641, info@TheEclecticElectric.com. Email is our single point of contact; we do not operate a public phone line. The shop is open by appointment.
2. Using the site
You may browse the site, use the design tools, and submit work orders for your own genuine project enquiries. You must be able to form a binding contract to place an order.
Please do not use the site to upload unlawful content or content you do not have the rights to, attempt to gain access to accounts or systems that are not yours, scrape or overload the site, or misrepresent who you are.
We may decline or cancel any enquiry or order at our discretion — for example if we cannot source a material, cannot meet a deadline, or believe a request is not made in good faith.
3. Quotes, estimates and turnaround
Prices are not displayed on this site. Every project is quoted individually, and the figure on the written quote or invoice we send you is the binding one. Any estimate, calculator output, or configurator summary on the site is an indication to help scope the work — it is not an offer and not a price.
Submitting a work order, a build order, or a quote request places you under no obligation and costs you nothing. No agreement exists until we send a written quote and you accept it.
Response and lead times quoted anywhere on this site are targets based on normal shop conditions, not guarantees. Material availability, site conditions, permitting, and approval delays all move dates. We will tell you promptly if a date is at risk.
4. Orders and payment
We do not currently take card payment on this site. Placing an order records your request and sends it to the studio; we then email you an invoice for payment. Nothing is charged at the moment you place an order.
For fabricated and installed work, our standard terms are a 50% deposit to begin production with the balance due before delivery or installation. Net-30 is available for established trade accounts. Specific projects may be quoted on different terms, in which case the quote governs.
Title and risk in finished goods pass to you on delivery or collection. We may hold delivery of a completed piece until the balance is paid.
5. Shipping and tax
- Shipping within the United States is a flat $15, and is free on orders with a subtotal of $500 or more.
- We do not currently ship internationally.
- Florida sales tax of 7% is applied to orders shipped to Florida addresses. Orders shipped elsewhere are not charged sales tax by us; you may owe use tax in your own state.
- Delivery and installation of large or fabricated work is quoted separately and is not covered by the flat shipping rate.
6. Custom and made-to-order work
Most of what we make is built to your specification. Once you approve a proof or drawing and production begins, that work cannot be cancelled or returned, and any deposit paid is non-refundable, because the material is cut and the piece has no other buyer.
We will send a proof or drawing for approval before cutting on custom work. Please check dimensions, spelling, finishes and placement carefully — we build to the approved proof.
Natural materials vary. Grain, colour and figure differ between pieces and from any photograph or on-screen render. Renders and configurator previews are representations, not exact reproductions of the finished piece.
7. Returns and workmanship
Ready-to-ship stock items may be returned within 30 days of delivery if they are unused and in their original condition. Return shipping is yours unless the item arrived damaged or was not what you ordered.
Custom, made-to-order, and installed work is not returnable once production begins — see the section above.
We warrant our own workmanship. If something we made fails because of a fault in how we built it, tell us and we will repair or remake it at our cost. This warranty does not cover normal wear, damage in use, improper installation by others, modification after delivery, or the natural movement of wood with humidity and time.
Except for that workmanship warranty, and to the fullest extent the law allows, the site and everything supplied through it are provided as is, without other warranties of any kind, express or implied.
8. Files and designs you send us
You keep ownership of everything you upload — sketches, CAD files, artwork, logos, photographs and specifications. Uploading does not transfer any ownership to us.
You grant us permission to use those files for one purpose: to quote, plan and build your project. We do not use them for anything else.
You confirm that you have the right to send us what you upload, and that our using it to build your project will not infringe anyone else's rights. If a third party claims otherwise about material you supplied, you agree to cover the resulting costs.
9. Our content and tools
The site, its text, photography, drawings, and the design tools on it — including the parametric wall art designer and the countertop worksheet — are ours or our licensors'. You may use them to plan and order your own project. You may not copy, resell, or redistribute them, or use their output to have a competing piece made elsewhere.
Cut files, board lists and shop drawings we generate for a project are our production documents. They are shared with you as part of a job you have commissioned, not licensed for independent manufacture.
10. Accounts
You do not need an account to request a quote or place an order. If you create one, keep your password confidential — you are responsible for activity under your account. Tell us promptly if you believe it has been compromised.
We may suspend or close an account that is used in breach of these terms.
11. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by Florida law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses, including lost profits, lost business, or the cost of substitute goods, arising from your use of this site or from work we supply.
Our total liability in connection with any project is limited to the amount you paid us for that project.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Alachua County, Florida, and you and we both consent to that venue.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the business changes. The effective date at the top of this page tells you when the current version took effect. The terms in force when you accepted a quote continue to govern that project.
